Our department is a full-service law enforcement agency, providing police services 24-hours a day, 7 days-a-week. We are located within the confines of St. Louis County near the University of Missouri - St. Louis Campus.
Our department endeavors to meet the highest ethical and professional standards, and prides itself on the quality of law enforcement services provided to the citizens of Normandy, and our contract cities consisting of the Village of Pasadena Park, the City of Bellerive Acres, the Village of Glen Echo Park, the City of Greendale, the City of Cool Valley, and Pasadena Hills. We are now state- accredited through the Missouri Police Chief’s Association.
The police department and the communities share in the responsibility for crime control and public safety. We recognize the importance of community partnerships as we strive to provide quality law enforcement services to residents, students, and visitors. As we deliver law enforcement services under a community policing philosophy, the department consistently seeks to collaborate with citizens, neighborhoods and community groups to better understand the nature of local issues and to develop mutual strategies. About the Chief
Chief Frank Mininni was appointed to the position of Chief of Police in September 2009, by the City of Normandy Council. Chief Mininni has served the City of Normandy since 1997. The Normandy Police Department serves a population of approximately eight thousand and a geographical area of approximately three square miles. Current agency strength is thirty-two officers and it has a budget of approximately 2.2 million dollars.
Chief Mininni was born in the city of St. Louis and currently resides in St. Charles County with his wife and two sons. Chief Mininni started his career in 1997 as a patrol officer. He has been assigned to every division of the department during his service. Chief Mininni has Master's degree in Criminal Justice Administration from Lindenwood University. He is a graduate of the FBI National Academy in Quantico, Virginia and of the Northwestern University School of Police Supervision.
He is a member of the Police Executive Research Forum (PERF), International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP), Missouri Police Chief's Association, St. Louis Area Police Chiefs Association, FBI National Academy Associates, Law Enforcement Officials of Greater St. Louis and the North St. Louis County Municipal Chiefs Association, where he serves on the governing board.
